About Jroe
Creator God has redeemed Jeremy by Jesus Christ’s death, burial and resurrection–granting to Jeremy salvation by grace alone, through faith alone and because of Christ alone.
Jeremy is the lead pastor/planter at The Axis Church in Nashville, Tennessee. He spends his time learning how to better apply the gospel to every aspect of his life, family and ministry. He also enjoys learning how to be culturally relevant/liberal and yet remain biblically conservative. He loves his wife and children, and enjoys every moment he is blessed to be with them.
Jeremy also serves with Immanuel Church in Nashville.
Background
Jeremy attended North Greenville College but transferred and later graduated from Liberty University (‘05) with his Bachelor of Science degree in Youth Ministry. In spring of 2008 Jeremy received his Masters from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Jeremy is planning on resting his cranium from official theological study throughout the fall of 2009. This will be the longest break that he has had from school since he was 5 years old! He does intend to pursue his PhD beginning the fall of 2010. He is planning on earning that degree from Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Jeremy was ordained into the gospel ministry in 2003 at Faith Bible Church in Harrisonburg, Virginia.
Family
On August 4th of 2001, Jeremy and Jill were married in the atrium of Gibbs Cancer Center at Spartanburg Regional Hospital in the upstate of South Carolina. Since then they have been utterly blessed to have three precious children; J.J. (2002), Bethany (2004) and Caleb (2006).
Interests
Jeremy loves spending time with his family. He also loves reading theology and studying “church.” He enjoys preaching, hanging out with people who are God-haters & God-doubters, reading, hunting, working around the house, snowboarding, teaching, all sports, building stuff, Tarheel basketball and Clemson Football. He loves to spend the mornings drinking coffee with Jill out on the screened porch. Jeremy likes to see beautiful sunsets and majestic mountains. Jeremy enjoys those cool days when he can roll the windows down and turn up good preaching on his iPod. He loves theological conversations and good food. He likes to lead others through the truth of the gospel to Jesus Christ and for the community to see the gospel revealed and manifested in a contextualized, relevant way.

I just read your post about challenging the Liberty University Students. I myself am a young man working for a college called Bethany College of Missions. I want to thank you for pressing into the Lord and growing in him. In the darkest storms we have the greatest opportunity to praise the Lord. Thank you for being honest and honorable. Thank you for learning how to be a good father. It’s a great encouragement to see such dedication.
